What are zaps?
Zaps are Lightning Network payments sent through Nostr. In Damus, zaps allow you to send satoshi (sats) directly to other users on the Nostr network. This airdrop rewards Damus users with zaps / satoshi.
How do Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana wallet options differ?
- Bitcoin wallet: you receive native sats on Bitcoin Lightning Network.
- Ethereum wallet: you receive wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC) on Ethereum, which can be bridged 1:1 to native Bitcoin.
- Solana wallet: you receive wrapped Bitcoin on Solana, also bridgeable 1:1 to native Bitcoin.
Why do you need my npub?
We use it to calculate your Damus / Nostr activity and confirm that this Nostr key is yours. We never need your private keys.
Why is there no KYC?
This is a Damus-native drop — your npub and signature are enough, no documents or selfies.
Can I claim later?
Yes, as long as your allocation has not expired by the time the wave ends.
How are zaps distributed?
Zaps are distributed based on your Damus / Nostr activity and engagement. The more active you are on Damus, the more zaps / satoshi you can claim.
Do I need to use Damus?
While this airdrop is designed for Damus users, any Nostr user can participate. However, activity on Damus can help increase your allocation.
